In partnership with the Minisitry of Education, Flourish will be developing and running a community programme called Flourishing Families under the learning Communities Hub initiative from the Minisitry of Education. The programme aims at increasing the level of engagement of migrant and refugree families in the education of their children through holding a series of workshops (10 in total) run by experts in the field to help enrolled families develop a solid understanding of how the NZ education system works, how to get engaged as parents/guardians and how to give input into the decisions, curiculum and delivery of education at the local schools.

THE CIRCLE
A WOMAN EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME
Starting in Feb 2022
Migrant and refugee women are a priority group for several developmental and social-cohesion initiatives within the governmental agencies. Integrating this demographic into the wider community of New Zealand works not only to create social harmony within the NZ society but also to empower these women to create a better future for themselves.
This programme is designed to facilitate the transition of women into their new home land of New Zealand and to enable them to focus persuing their personal dreams and aspirations in the process.
The programme is designed by experts from the community as a response to the needs of the target audience and as such, it is as authentic as it is credible and practical.
