Courses start at the beginning of each term and run weekly until the term ends. New enrolments open in the final weeks of each preceding term.<\/p> <\/div> <div class=\"schema-faq-section\" id=\"faq-question-1746773132823\"><strong class=\"schema-faq-question\">2. <strong>Can my child enrol in more than one course per term?<\/strong><\/strong> <p class=\"schema-faq-answer\">Yes! Children are welcome to enrol in <strong>multiple courses<\/strong> if they are age-appropriate. For example, a student might enrol in both <em>Literacy Skills<\/em> and <em>Arabic Language<\/em> in the same term. We\u2019ll work with you to coordinate schedules if needed.<\/p> <\/div> <div class=\"schema-faq-section\" id=\"faq-question-1746773156131\"><strong class=\"schema-faq-question\">3. <strong>Do the courses follow the NZ Curriculum?<\/strong><\/strong> <p class=\"schema-faq-answer\">Our academic courses (literacy and numeracy) are <strong>informed by the New Zealand Curriculum<\/strong>, with added support tailored for the needs of migrant and refugee students. The goal is to <strong>reinforce classroom learning<\/strong> and give students extra confidence and clarity.<\/p> <\/div> <div class=\"schema-faq-section\" id=\"faq-question-1746773174693\"><strong class=\"schema-faq-question\">4. <strong>Where are the classes held, and how do I choose a location?<\/strong><\/strong> <p class=\"schema-faq-answer\">KASP is delivered <strong>in person<\/strong> across four locations in Christchurch and Selwyn:<br\/>Burnside<br\/>Halswell<br\/>Hornby<br\/>Rolleston<br\/>When enrolling, you can <strong>choose the location closest to you<\/strong>. Availability may vary by course and site.<\/p> <\/div> <div class=\"schema-faq-section\" id=\"faq-question-1746773194501\"><strong class=\"schema-faq-question\">5. <strong>Are the classes religious in nature?<\/strong><\/strong> <p class=\"schema-faq-answer\">Only our <em>Islamic Culture &amp; Values<\/em> course includes religious content \u2014 and it&#8217;s presented in a <strong>values-based, age-appropriate, and inclusive way<\/strong>. Academic courses (e.g. literacy and numeracy) are <strong>secular<\/strong> and focus entirely on academic development.<\/p> <\/div> <div class=\"schema-faq-section\" id=\"faq-question-1746773221277\"><strong class=\"schema-faq-question\">6. <strong>Is transport provided to and from KASP classes?<\/strong><\/strong> <p class=\"schema-faq-answer\">No, transport is not provided as part of the KASP programme. Families are responsible for <strong>dropping off and picking up their children<\/strong> from their chosen location. We recommend choosing the most convenient site from our four options: <strong>Burnside, Halswell, Hornby, or Rolleston<\/strong>.<\/p> <\/div> <div class=\"schema-faq-section\" id=\"faq-question-1746773240407\"><strong class=\"schema-faq-question\">7. <strong>What happens if I\u2019m late to pick up my child?<\/strong><\/strong> <p class=\"schema-faq-answer\">We understand that unexpected delays can happen. A <strong>10-minute grace period<\/strong> is allowed after each class ends. However, if a child is not picked up within that time, a <strong>late pickup fee may be charged<\/strong> to help cover staff time and venue use.
